Simona Supekar  is a Los Angeles-based copywriter who has won awards for her work. She is the former communications manager for e-commerce web site SHOP.COM/MarketAmerica and has written for, The Huffington Post, Jupiterimages, Vans, The Cartoon Network, Culinoir, Friendly Earth, and more. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in both English Literature and Anthropology from Oberlin College and an MFA in Creative Writing at UC Riverside. She has taught high school English and Journalism through the prestigious Teach for America program in underserved communities, volunteers at 826LA, has roamed all over Los Angeles writing music reviews of local bands, worked as a fashion writer, and (just like her fellow copywriting brethren) is currently at work a novel. Her novel research most recently took her to Fiji, and in the past has traveled to Costa Rica, Mexico, Brazil, India, Japan, France, Italy, England (where she lived for six months), and Japan.

Her most recent work has appeared in The Atlantic She currently teaches English at Pasadena City College.
