The first residency will be held at The Parker Resort and Spa in Palm Springs, California.

We have reserved a block of rooms for MFA students who wish to stay at the Resort and we encourage you to do so. This is your opportunity to become part of the University of California community and the community of successful authors and writers dedicated to your success. The rate is $165.00/night. Included in this rate is a continental breakfast each morning and boxed lunch each afternoon. The estate fee includes valet parking, local and 1-800 calls, unlimited WIFI, 24-hour access to the fitness center, spa with steam room, indoor pools and Jacuzzi, twice daily maid service, daily newspaper and enjoyment of all resort amenities (two outdoor pools, bikes, croquet and petanque courts).
The Parker Palm Springs is located 8 minutes by car from charming downtown Palm Springs, 2 hours by car from Los Angeles and San Diego, and Palm Springs International Airport is a short 3-mile(5 minute) drive from the estate.
