CAN I TRANSFER FROM THE TRADITIONAL PROGRAM TO THE LOW RESIDENCY PROGRAM?
We are offering a one time opportunity for students in our Traditional Program to migrate to the Low Residency Program.  After this year, you may not transfer to the Low Residency Program from the Traditional Program.

 

CAN I TRANSFER FROM THE LOW RESIDENCY PROGRAM TO THE MAIN UCR CREATIVE WRITING PROGRAM?

We cannot make that decision. This decision is made by the main campus Creative Writing Department.

 

DO I HAVE THE FLEXIBILITY TO SELECT COURSES EACH QUARTER?

No. Students take a prescribed 28 units each year in the genre of their choice.  Cross genre and English Literature coursework are included in the structure of classes in the basic core curriculum.

 

HOW MANY YEARS WILL BE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE MY DEGREE?
This is a two year program.
