Eileen Shields

Eileen Shields’ past professions include, NBC page, casting director, sitcom writer, radio personality and high school English teacher. She hopes to add novelist to the list before she croaks.  Since enrolling at UCRPD, she has been runner-up for the Bechtel prize awarded by Susan Orlean for an essay in Teachers & Writers, and has been published in Los Angeles Review, Rumpus, Alimentum, Fiction Attic Press and Slice. She lives in Manhattan Beach with her husband and her dog.
