Caroline Collins is honored to be a recent Fiction alumni of the UCR Palm Desert Low-Residency Program.  She earned her B.A. in American Literature from UCLA and has previously worked in the fast–paced higher education publishing industry, was the Executive Director of CASA (Center for Academic and Social Advancement) a non-profit joint venture between under-served communities and UCSD, and she is currently a lecturer in the UCSD Department of Communication teaching undergraduate students.  She also freelance edits academic journal articles and has published one of her own.  Aside from voracious reading and finishing her novel and a screenplay, Caroline loves to travel and experience other cultures and has visited countries in Europe, Central America, Africa, and Asia.  Ms. Collins lives in San Diego County with her loving husband Alfred, energetic eleven year old son Cameron, adorable newborn son Christian, and tidbit stealing rescue dog Sophie
