Bryan Burch lives in Portland, Oregon and is an active volunteer with the Urban Forestry division of the Parks Department. Since obtaining his degree from UCR he has been plugging away at a novel motivated by the hills and trails of the Palos Verdes Peninsula where he grew up. In a previous life, Bryan Stage Managed flashy Broadway musicals and toured the country bring the gospel of Gershwin and Weber to the hinterlands. On occasion, he calls a show for one of the local, repertory houses in PDX when he’s not planting trees or sampling local brews. The highest points of his UCR postgraduate experience have been working as Director of Student Life at UCRPD with Tod Goldberg and having Papa Goldberg tell him, “you are an artist.” Priceless!
